Materials and Methods

Fresh aerial part from the Solidago canadensis is collected in August by BoreA Canada in the province of Quebec and steam distilled by using PC-PA-001-15E06, “Analysis of the composition of a liquid essential oil by GC-FID”, gas chromatography.

ORIGIN

The Goldenrod is recognizable by its very small and numerous flower heads. In summer and fall, the plant displays a floriferous, bright yellow top all over Québec Province. It prefers wetlands, river banks and the Greater St. Lawrence Valley.

Therapeutic Indications

The Goldenrod essential oil is excellent in diffusion to relax the mind and improve the atmosphere with its beautiful floral aroma.

A massage on the bottoms of the feet and behind the neck with a combination of Goldenrod essential oil mixed with another vegetable oil can calm nervousness and promotes good sleep.

Always mixed with a vegetable oil, applied in the evening on the face after cleansing, the Goldenrod essential oil revives the skin tone.

Contraindications: None known under normal physiological doses.
